Meet a past winner: Caroline McCulloch

What happens when a qualified podiatrist and physiotherapist combines her passions for fashion and helping people?

Stylish footwear that doesn’t compromise on comfort.

2017 LMBA Business Person of the Year, Caroline McCulloch, is the brains and talent behind FRANKiE4 – a Brisbane-based footwear business helping women feel comfortable and confident.

Caroline and her husband Alan own Brisbane podiatry clinics All Podiatry & The Shoe Co. They launched FRANKiE4 – named after their beloved dog – in 2011 with 200 pairs of shoes. Today, FRANKiE4 orders over 100,000 pairs from its supplier, has two Brisbane concept stores, over 90 stockists across Australia and New Zealand, and is furthering its global reach.

Upon announcing Caroline as 2017 Business Person of the Year, Lord Mayor Graham Quirk said the FRANKiE4 founder exemplified the entrepreneurial spirit of Brisbane’s business community.

“Caroline is a stunning example of the sort of extraordinary people driving Brisbane’s economic growth and global reputation as Australia’s New World City,” Cr Quirk said.

Since that time, FRANKiE4 has received significant exposure, with Caroline being featured across media including Channel 7 breakfast program Sunrise, ABC radio and business magazine The Deal.

“Winning the Lord Mayor’s Business Award has certainly helped profile our business and push it forward,” Caroline said.

“Money can’t buy the quality of exposure and genuine support I have received. Business opportunities resulted that weren’t possible prior to winning this reputable award.”
