Brisbane Marketing worked with Tourism and Events Queensland (TEQ) and Tourism Australia to host familiarisations before and after the recent Australian Tourism Exchange Gold Coast 2016, the country’s largest annual travel and tourism business-to-business event. Buyers and media from all over the world experienced the delights of Brisbane and surrounds. The Convention Bureau received some fantastic feedback after hosting two famils in partnership with Business Events Australia, including the following:

The San Francisco-based entrepreneur travelled to Brisbane to share his extensive knowledge of the startup industry and met with other local entrepreneurs, co-working space operators and representatives from local and state government over three days.

Sally Gabori

The Sally Gabori Retrospective has opened at Queensland Art Gallery (QAG) and will run until 28 August. This exhibition celebrates the late Bentinck Island artist and senior Kaiadilt woman Mirdidingkingathi Juwarnda Gabori’s life and work, and strengthens QAGOMA’s commitment to visibly acknowledging Queensland’s indigenous artists.
