Stone & Wood Brewing has announced plans to open a Brisbane venue that will include a 600-litre pilot brewery, which will pour Stone & Wood’s regular lineup together with some in-house brews.
The Byron Bay based company will add value to the emerging beer scene in Brisbane and continue to grow the market following BrewDog’s decision to building their first Australian site in Brisbane in February.

Brisbane based start-up AgUnity has ranked in the top 10 at this year’s Overseas Talent Entrepreneurial Conference (OTEC) against 32 other start-ups from around the world for their leading AgTech innovation.
Founded by Brisbane based Agripreneur of the year, David Davies, AgUnity’s vision is to improve the lives of small farmers in developing countries through the use of Blockchain technology, assisting one billion low-income farmers around the world.
Two Brisbane brothers have taken on the fight to reduce plastic by inventing a solar shrink mulch film to help farmers minimise costs, wastage and to protect the environment.
Brisbane's Hydrox Technologies patented solar shrink mulch film invention was named in the top 10 new agricultural products for 2018 at the world's largest agricultural show, The World AG Expo, in California earlier this year.

A new report from the CSIRO has suggested three dams be built in North Queensland to create a major national agricultural food bowl and generate significant economic benefits for Queensland.
If built, the construction of four dams at Pinnacles, Rockwood, Nulinga and near Chillagoe would see an extra 140,000 hectares of year-round crop irrigated.
