Download Vision 2031: Visitor Economy Vision for Brisbane
Brisbane is experiencing a once-in-a-generation transformation of its visitor economy with over $12 billion of new projects planned and underway which will contribute to economic growth and overall quality of life. To guide the direction the visitor economy takes over the next decade, in its capacity as the Regional Tourism Organisation, Brisbane Marketing, working with EarthCheck and ARUP are bringing together our global network and local partners to articulate a clear vision for the region by 2031.
The Brisbane region extends east to the blue water of Moreton Bay, south to the Logan and Albert Rivers and north to Pumicestone Passage and west to the foothills of the Great Dividing Range and the Gondwana Rainforest World Heritage Area, and a network of connected communities across eight local government areas.
After four months of consultation, nearly 500 people engaged in over 15 workshops. You can view the Consultation Summary Report here. This document will guide the development of the Draft Visitor Economy Strategy in July and August, so have a look and share your views on the ideas and information shared to date.
