Where to study in North Brisbane
Continuing the theme from our recent trail of study nooks in Brisbane City, we’ve gone looking for the perfect places in north Brisbane to help you explore the city on your study sessions. From libraries to parks and petite cafes, you’ll find a sweet study vibe at these places.
Sunny days make for an ideal excuse to study outside. Find your perfect spot under a shady tree, by the rose garden, or on the bank of the Brisbane River on your visit to New Farm Park. You’ll find the free Brisbane City Council wi-fi at the Rotunda end of the park near the Brisbane River.
Schedule a study date at The Letter Lounge, a cute new cafe and meeting centre in Brisbane’s Red Hill. An office away from the office, it’s open Monday to Friday and offers a relaxed atmosphere with calm music to help you focus on your studies or get down to business with your study buddy.
Eagle Farm Racecourse is home to new cafe and local coffee hotspot The Precinct. With plenty of room to spread out your books thanks to the industrial-style open plan and long tables, you’ll find a perfect spot with natural light and access to great food and coffee. It’s open Monday to Friday until 2pm and Sunday mornings.
The recently refurbished Grange Library is open Tuesday-Saturday, hours vary (check the website). Take advantage of the free wi-fi and the on-site cafe, or book in advance to secure a meeting room for a group study session.
Open seven days from 7am (8am on Sunday), Sourced is the perfect spot to soak up the early morning sun with a bowl of bircher muesli, text book in hand. The food is fresh, locally sourced and often organic, and the coffee is strong. Pull up a milk crate and enjoy the service and serenity.
Settle into a table in the corner for your study session at Anouk Cafe. Its heritage building home overlooks the hills of Paddington and is a popular coffee spot for locals. You’ll find it open seven days, serving coffee from 7am.
The library at Chermside is massive so you’ll have no problem finding your own space to set up your study session. Visit during the week for quiet time or go with a group and book a room for your study meetings, taking advantage of the free wi-fi. It’s open seven days – check the website in advance as open times vary.
