The Designers’ Guide: Easton Pearson Archive
23 Nov – 22 Apr, Museum of Brisbane

The storytellers of Australian fashion, Pamela Easton and Lydia Pearson, have personally selected 200 garments from this iconic Brisbane fashion label.

The 9th Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art (APT9)
24 Nov – 28 Apr, QAGOMA

Since 1993, the APT series has drawn more than three million visitors and boasts one of the world’s most significant collections of contemporary Asian and Pacific art.

Curiocity Brisbane
15 Mar – 3 Apr, various venues

Including the World Science Festival Brisbane and QODE, a global technology and innovation event, Curiocity Brisbane will come alive with a gallery of interactive creations, augmented reality spaces, pop-up playgrounds and music events.

Brisbane Cycling Festival
28 Mar – 14 Apr, various venues

Rolling into Brisbane from 28 March, the Brisbane Cycling Festival will include the Cycling Australia National Track Championships, the Six Day international series final, and the mass participation ride, Tour de Brisbane.

NRL Magic Round Brisbane
9 – 12 May, Suncorp Stadium

16 NRL clubs will descend on Brisbane in what will be the year’s largest gathering of Australian rugby league players across four days of competition.

Brisbane Racing Carnival
11 May – 8 Jun, Doomben and Eagle Farm Racecourses

The Channel Seven Brisbane Racing Carnival is Queensland’s most prestigious social event featuring world class racing, fine food, fashion, and entertainment.

Regional Flavours
20 – 21 Jul, South Bank Parklands

Experience the Sunshine State on a plate at Regional Flavours, Queensland’s premier free food and wine festival held in Brisbane’s picturesque South Bank Parklands.

Royal Queensland Show (EKKA)
9 – 18 Aug, Brisbane Showgrounds

Queensland’s largest annual event is back for its 143rd year. Held over 10 full days, the Ekka showcases life and achievements in the Sunshine State and welcomes visitors from all across Queensland and Australia to the heart of Brisbane.

Brisbane Festival
7 – 28 Sep, various venues

Brisbane Festival will once again transform the city over three dazzling weeks in September with its thrilling program of theatre, music, dance, circus and opera.

Asia Pacific Screen Awards
21 Nov, Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre

Celebrate the cinematic excellence and cultural diversity of the vast Asia Pacific region at the Asia Pacific Screen Awards. The awards will recognise and celebrate the best films of the region and the people who contributed to making them.
