Bec brings a broad range of marketing experience to the team, having worked across digital marketing, social media strategy, communications and sponsorships for both international and national teams across various industries. A key focus of Bec’s current role is to provide strategic marketing support for the Business Events and Major Events portfolio.
My role at Brisbane EDA involves:
Providing marketing support to the Major Events & Business Events team, to profile Brisbane as a key destination to visit and do business in through integrating destination messaging in core marketing strategies. I work collaboratively with the content, creative and digital teams to support business deliverables for major events, business events and trade shows.
What I'm enjoying most about my role is:
Working closely with the Business Events & Major Events teams to promote Brisbane as an ideal destination to meet & visit.
What I love about Brisbane is...
I love that Brisbane offers a laid-back lifestyle compared to that of Melbourne or Sydney, yet it still has everything you would want for a city lifestyle. And of course, how close it is to the beautiful Sunshine Coast & Gold Coast!
One thing that makes Brisbane an ideal business events destination is:
The quality/location of conference venues – they’re embedded within lively precincts that showcase the best of Brisbane.
When I’m not at work you’ll find me...
At a beach anywhere along the coastline between Noosa and Byron Bay, sampling coffee, acai bowls and Asian food along the way.
When friends/family visit from out of town, I always take them to:
Bulimba, Howard Smith Wharves or favourite restaurants in the Teneriffe / New Farm area.
My favourite restaurant is Brisbane is:
Mrs Browns for delicious food & drinks or Greca, because their Saganaki is life.
My perfect holiday would be:
My perfect holiday would be beachside, with delicious food and good wine.
