Meet the team: Yi Yang
Yi Yang joined Brisbane EDA in March 2019 as a business development and bidding coordinator, bringing more than 10 years’ experience in business management and Chinese translation. In her role, Yi assists the team in managing incentive bids for Asia-based clients.
My role at Brisbane EDA involves: Preparing bids for incentive clients, especially those from Asian countries and showcasing Brisbane’s world class convention and events venues as well as incentive attractions.
The best/most interesting part about working on business event bids is: Constantly learning about Brisbane’s many venues and attractions, and sharing my passion for Brisbane to those who have never been here.
One of Brisbane’s most unique selling points as a business events destination is: Brisbane’s world-class infrastructure and the walkability of the city.
One of my favourite incentive experiences in Brisbane is: Taking a river cruise to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, cuddling a koala and hand-feeding kangaroos and emus.
My favourite restaurant is Brisbane is: I like spicy food, so Fortune Well (Red Chilli) is my favourite restaurant.
My perfect holiday would be: Taking a cruise to Europe, followed by shopping and eating different cuisine.
I am inspired by: All of the new infrastructure development that is making a better Brisbane.
