Juliet Alabaster is passionate about her role overseeing the delivery of Brisbane Economic Development Agency’s strategic priorities, to grow the city’s economy through increased leisure and business visitation, experiences and events.
Juliet has a strong tourism, hospitality, conference and business events background and her focus is to drive improved economic outcomes for Brisbane’s businesses as industry rebuilds from the current global position.
Having worked at Brisbane Economic Development Agency since 2008, Juliet carries a wealth of experience to this position, and has spent many years championing Brisbane’s tourism and events capabilities.
Focused on delivering high-quality outcomes, Juliet leads her team to drive demand for Brisbane as an exciting tourist destination, create growth and trade opportunities for local businesses, and ultimately help provide a better quality of life for businesses and residents throughout Brisbane.
Jon Kritzinger, Chief Financial Officer
Brisbane Economic Development Agency's Chief Financial Officer, Jon Kritzinger, is responsible for financial management, information technology, risk management, corporate administration and insurance.
A Chartered Accountant with more than 16 years' experience in management accounting and financial management has a strong background working in medium-sized companies, with particular expertise in the manufacturing and retail construction sectors.
Jon has held a number of directorships on various divisional boards and is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia.
Andrew Davison, General Manager, Industry Growth & Trade
Andy Davison’s role in Brisbane EDA's Investment and Industry Development division involves attracting international business investment to Brisbane and supporting the growth and global expansion of domestic businesses. He has a special focus on the food, beverage and agriculture sectors.
A diplomat for over 20 years, Andy has experience leading trade and investment portfolios across the UK, Europe, Africa and South Asia.
Prior to joining Brisbane EDA, Andy worked with cities to deliver growth and investment programs and campaigns in areas including the USA, Middle East, South America, ASEAN and China.
Abigail Chambers, General Manager, Human Resources & Communications
Abigail Chambers is a strategic human resources professional who leads Brisbane Economic Development Agency’s workforce relations and corporate communications divisions.
With a successful international career spanning more than two decades across a number of industries, including economic development, banking, resources, engineering and health, Abigail brings a high-level and strategic approach to her role as General Manager, HR & Communications.
Abigail is an active member of the Australian Human Resource Institute, and provides strategic guidance and expertise in industrial relations, corporate culture and change management, workplace diversity and inclusivity, global best-practice recruitment, and integrating communications into corporate business.
Originally from the United Kingdom, Abigail joined Brisbane Economic Development Agency in 2018.
