Aussie water polo stars to host Japan in Brisbane Test match series

Australia’s men’s and women’s water polo teams will kick their Tokyo 2020 preparations into the next gear when they host the Japanese teams in a two test match series in Brisbane on 17 and 18 January 2019. The test-match exhibition forms part of Australian Youth Water Polo Championships (AYWPC) which will be staged in Brisbane from 12-24 January 2019 which brings together more than 3,000 participants from 190 teams across Australia.

Brisbane eateries named in Good Food Guide

Brisbane Marketing members were recognised at the prestigious Good Food Guide awards. Two Hats were awarded to Stokehouse Q and Otto, which also received Wine List of the Year and One Hat was awarded to Blackbird Bar and Grill, GOMA restaurant and Gerard’s Bistro.

QHA award winners

Several Brisbane Marketing members received awards at the recent Queensland Hotels Association annual awards. Among the accolades was Rydges South Bank for best superior accommodation, Eatons Hill Hotel for best meeting and events venue, Sofitel Brisbane Central for best chef of the year, Hilton Hotel for outstanding achievement in training and The Glen Hotel and Osbourne for best redeveloped licensed premises up to and over $2 million. Woodford program announced
