Study Brisbane welcomes Korean interns
Fourteen South Korean students are taking part in a Brisbane City Council internship program, part of an arrangement between Brisbane and its sister city Daejeon.
The international students attended a one-hour information session hosted by Study Brisbane, looking at the benefits of studying, living and working in Brisbane.
Two of the students are currently undertaking their internship with Brisbane Marketing.
Sora Lim, 21, is helping the Study Brisbane team prepare for the next Friendship Ceremony.
Ms Lim said Brisbane was an easy choice with its multicultural society and beautiful warm weather.
"I love all of Brisbane, the friendly people, sunny days and beautiful animals like koalas and kangaroos. I like the way that Brisbane has so much potential – that’s why I am here."
Choong Baek Lee (Kendrick), 24, is helping out in the Precinct Development Team.
Mr Lee said he loved the outdoor experiences in Brisbane.
"My favourite place is Mt Coot-tha. At night time the views of this amazing city are breathtaking."
The two international students will be with Brisbane Marketing until 3 June before commencing a two-week internship with Brisbane City Council.
