The Brisbane International Student Ambassador Program adopts students from all over the world to tell their real-life Brisbane stories to their home country networks via social media. Running for more than eight years, 40 students from around the world are formally appointed as Brisbane Student Ambassadors. Meet the 2018 Brisbane International Student Ambassadors
Aishath Leenaz is from Sh.foakaidhoo, Maldives, and studies Health Sciences at the University of Queensland. She loves Brisbane for the world-ranked education providers and warm welcome to international students.
Alessia Lanzo was born and raised in Sciacca, Italy. She is studying International Economics and Finance at the University of Queensland and finds Brisbane, Australia, a perfect union between study, good weather and attractions.
Ana Gudalo is from Slovenia and is studying an Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management and a MicroMasters programme of Leadership in Global Development.
Carolina Gonzalez is from Cauquenes, Chile. She is a psychologist who came to Australia to study a Master of Mental Health at the University of Queensland and says she fell in love with Brisbane.
Celeste Morinigo Baez is from Paraguay and studies Environmental Management at the University of Queensland. She has been living in Brisbane, Australia, since October 2016 and loves Brisbane's cultural diversity.
Ching Chong grew up in Kuching, Malaysia. Now, as a student pursuing a Bachelor of Economics at The University of Queensland she will be documenting her journey in Brisbane, Australia.
Dongjin You is from Seoul, South Korea, and is studying Accounting and Finance at Griffith University in Brisbane, Australia. He enjoys Brisbane's weather, nature, food and people.
Ekaterina Salazar Reviakina was born in Russia and raised in Colombia and is studying Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia.
Goutham Subramanian is from Chennai in southern India and is pursuing a PhD in Medicine at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia.
Gustavo Azevedo is from Salvador, Brazil, and studies Engineering Management at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. He enjoys Brisbane's diverse personality from farmers' markets to Valley pub crawls.
CHEUNG Ho Yeung is from Hong Kong and is a first-year Business Management student at The University of Queensland. He has been in Brisbane, Australia, for one year and his favourite place is South Bank.
Hao Chang is from Taichung, Taiwan. He has been in Brisbane, Australia, for more than a year and is studying at Queensland University of Technology. His favourite places in Brisbane are the islands of Moreton Bay.
Julie Laustsen is from Denmark and is studying Event Management at TAFE. She says Brisbane, Australia, has come to feel like home and never ceases to impress her with beautiful nature, cultural diversity and great urban life.
Kasun Kalhara is from Sri Lanka and is an undergraduate studying Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering (Honours) at Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia.
Khanh Le comes from Vietnam and is studying Commerce at The University of Queensland. Studying in Brisbane, Australia, enables her to experience new cultures and meet people from different backgrounds.
Laxman Khatiwada is from Nepal and is studying Accounting. He loves the climate and multicultural diversity of Brisbane, Australia, and enjoys being around the Brisbane River.

Maham Aqeel is from Pakistan and is studying Commerce (Accounting). Travelling and exploring has been a huge part of her life and in Brisbane, Australia, she likes to organise barbecues with her friends at South Bank.

Nieves Garcia Cano is from Granada and has been living in Brisbane, Australia, since 2015. She is studying a dual Master in Business and Project Management at Torrens University. Her favourite place is the cliffs at Kangaroo Point.
Maxer Lye is from Singapore and studies International Relations and Languages at the University of Queensland. He thinks the best thing about living in Brisbane is being close the natural beauty and adventure.
Mayura Mahadevan is from Norway and is a third year Design Architecture (Honour) student at QUT in Brisbane, Australia. Her favourite place in Brisbane is Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary.
Munkhzolboo Purev comes from Mongolia and dreamed of learning English and exploring the world. She lives in Brisbane, Australia, and studies Environmental Management at the University of Queensland.
Mutiara Azka is from Indonesia and is studying Public Relations at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. She is proud to call Brisbane her second home.

Sirirada Pattara-angkoon is a psychology major studying at The University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. Originally from Bangkok, Thailand, Brisbane is now her home away from home.
