Wayne Ria Arquilada Caggauauan (Philippines)
Hi! My name is Wayne Ria Arquilada Caggauauan and I was born and raised in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea but am originally from Aparri, Cagayan, Philippines (It's more fun in the Philippines) where I spent half of my childhood there. I am grateful for this as I was exposed to different cultures, experiences and values at a young age that helped me succeed today, thanks to my family. I then continued my secondary studies here in Australia at St. Saviour's College in Toowoomba.
After completing high school, I moved to Brisbane in 2018 to study at a tertiary education level with a dual degree in a Bachelor of Business/Bachelor of International Tourism and Hotel Management at Griffith University. I am very passionate about the hospitality, tourism and events industry, in which I strive to be the best I can and leave a positive impact within this field.
I hope to experience Brisbane in a new perspective through this program. Likewise, to put a smile on those who I meet and learn more from the new friends I make during my stay here in Brisbane.
My favourite things about Brisbane are:
A laid-back lifestyle, the diverse culture, the welcoming atmosphere and the subtropical climate.
The languages I speak:
Ilocano (Native Dialect), Tagalog, Tok Pisin (PNG), English
